report cards
Report cards are being sent home today. Report cards can be accssed through Powerschool or your email account.
St.Patrick School has implemented the new curriculum at all grades levels in three courses: Physical Education and Wellness, and English Language Arts and Literature as well as Mathematics. Along with many of the same knowledge and skill outcomes as in our former curriculum, these courses come with new content and skills that require additional background work to ensure students have the exposure and practice to successfully interact with their new grade level expectations. On this report card, students will receive a level of achievement based on the new curriculum outcomes. Please see the pictures below for a overview of what the upcoming report cards will look like and how to read them.
YOUR VOICE MATTERS!
In our ongoing pursuit to refine how Elk Island Catholic Schools provides faith-integrated education and support to all of our students, we’ve launched our Assurance Survey for the 2022-2023 school year.
This is an opportunity for you to let us know your thoughts on how well we’re addressing our mission to develop educational opportunities in the context of Gospel values, celebrate and nurture students, and guide them on a lifelong spiritual journey.
Your feedback will be anonymous and welcomed to assist with guiding the decision-making process as EICS plans for the future.
To help us gain a comprehensive understanding of how we’re doing, similar Assurance surveys are also being provided to all students and EICS staff.
Please take the time to complete this survey when it is convenient for you. If you are the parent or guardian of multiple children who are attending EICS schools, we ask that you take the time to reflect on each child’s individual experience and fill out a survey for each child. We recognize that their experiences may be different and wish to obtain a greater understanding of these differences in the survey.
To begin the survey, please click here: EICS Parent Assurance Survey 2022-2023
To ensure your feedback is received, all surveys must be completed by Friday, February 17.
Thank-you for sharing your voice with EICS.

reporting student illness absentee
As you have no doubt been watching and experiencing, Alberta has been suffering from high rates of RSV, Influenza and COVID-19. We want to thank you for making the right choice to keep your children home when they are experiencing symptoms. In order to help us have the best possible data and communicate with Alberta Health Services if required, we would ask that you report any flu or cold like symptom under the FLU heading in the School Messenger App. Please report absences to the office or through the School Messenger App.
Using Safe Arrival, parents can report:
FLU - Illness due to flu and cold like symptoms
ILL - Other illness or injury.
EXC - Parent Excused (i.e taking your child on a holiday)
Thanks for your attention to this matter, as always, we are working hard to ensure that all students and staff remain safe.
