Happy Women's History Month! We look forward to continue highlighting the tremendous impact women have made and continue to make locally, nationally and internationally.
As a reminder, DCPS will not have school for students on March 9 -10, 2023, due to parent teacher conferences and a DCPS professional development day.

NEWS & UPDATES
4th and 5th Grade Students- Try Out for the Track Team!
There is additional information available in the attached track handbook. *Please note that students will be running off campus during practices*
Girls on the Run Registration is Open for 3rd-5th Graders
The Girls on the Run - DC Spring 2023 season starts the week of March 6th and concludes with a celebratory 5K. Teams meet 2x per week for 75-90 minutes each practice over the course of 10 weeks. No additional students may register after March 19th.
The Girls on the Run-DC Program Fee is $215. They offer adjusted program fees based on a sliding scale during registration. The Program Fee Includes:
- Twenty (20) lessons conducted by certified Girls on the Run Coaches
- Lesson materials
- One (1) water bottle
- One (1) official Girls on the Run t-shirt
- One (1) entry for the girl to participate in the Girls on the Run-DC 5K (please note that parents/caregivers must register separately to run the 5K)
- One (1) 5K finisher's medal
Payment plans and a sliding scale are available as you progress through the application.

K-5 Student Self-Dismissal- A DCPS Policy
No student will be allowed to leave school alone or with a sibling until the DCPS self-dismissal form has been signed and returned to the main office or emailed to hyde.addison@k12.dc.gov. Please note that PreK3 and PreK4 students are not eligible. Please contact hyde.addison@k12.dc.gov with any questions.

Student Mental Health Services: Parent/Family Referrals
School mental health services and supports are an effective means of addressing the mental health needs of children and improving the learning environment. Click here if you would like to refer a student for mental health or counseling support provided by Ms. Stovall. Referrals will be processed by the Mental Health Team and staff will receive communication and updates regarding services.
