PRINCIPAL UPDATE
We had a busy week last week!
It was wonderful to meet so many of our incoming Kindergarten friends and their families on Monday during Kindergarten Visitation. We look forward to you being a part of our Northeast Community!
Our first graders went on a Field Trip to the zoo and based on their stories, they had a blast! Thank you to the teachers for planning this fun, educational trip for our little friends and for the many parents who volunteered their time to chaperone. It was a great day!
Our Spring Concert was spectacular! We are so proud of all of our young musicians and singers! There is so much talent at Northeast! It was nice to see so many families there. A special thank you to our Band and Orchestra Teachers - Mr. Evan Biela, Mr. Kevin Burke and Mrs. Julie Souza and to our General Education Music Teachers - Ms. Madeline Bucci and Mr. Alex Shepherd for all of their hard work and dedication in preparing our students for this amazing production!
Field Day was a huge success! Thank you very much to Michelle Campbell and her crew for making this a fun filled day for all students. Thank you to Dr. Ostayan for helping to organize the day and thank you so much to all of the volunteers. We can't run this day without you! Your support is very much appreciated! There were lots of happy faces that day and that made everything worth it! Thank you all 💙💛.
Now, we are entering our last week of the school year, and it is another busy one!
We will be honoring fifth grade students during Fifth Grade Celebration on Wednesday, June 14th at 10:00am. The plan is to be outside on the basketball court. However, if the weather does not cooperate, we will move the celebration indoors and it will be in the Gym. We will keep you posted.
Our fifth grade students will be celebrated again in an all-school "clap out" as they leave Northeast on Thursday, June 15th to visit the middle schools.
The last day of school is Thursday, June 15th. Report cards and progress reports will go home with students, as well as suggested grade level supply lists and WIDA Access reports for those students who participated in the Access testing this past winter. Teacher assignments for students entering grades 1 through 5 will be shared in August via email.

Got rocks?
Ms. Caruso is organizing a family-friendly event for the Back to School picnic in August (date TBD for picnic) -- and we need about 600+ rocks for families/students to decorate!
As you take walks/hikes, hit the beach, etc this summer (any time from now until mid-August) -- please pick up some rocks and drop them in the bucket out front of Debbie Coleman's house (7 Kenwood Lane)!
*Rocks need to be spray painted before, so ideally by mid-August have them dropped off!
