Every three years, Centerville PTA needs to update our bylaws with Frederick County and Maryland PTA. Bylaws will be posted for 30 days prior to our next General Membership PTA Meeting, scheduled for January 22, 2020. No changes are proposed in our bylaws. You can review the proposed bylaws HERE. Come vote yay or nay at our next meeting!

Due to event conflicts during the month of January, we've rescheduled our General Membership PTA Meeting to Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 6:30pm in the CES Media Center. Snow date will be same time and place on 1/29.

Save The Date for STEAM Night

(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math)

The PTA is a proud sponsor of Centerville Elementary’s STEAM Night on January 23, 2020 from 6:00-7:30 pm.

Some of the evening activities planned:

• Students will have the opportunity to gather ideas to develop a science fair project.

• Other activities will be available to explore all of the concepts of STEAM.

Look for more information to be shared toward the beginning of January.

Are you moving to Sugarloaf Elementary or Urbana Elementary next year? If so, Mrs. Blumenthal, the Principal of Urbana Elementary @ Sugarloaf would like to invite you to their PTA Meeting on January 9, 2020 at 7PM in the cafeteria. Their current PTA Board is split with half staying at Sugarloaf and half transitioning to Urbana. If you would like to learn more about the different PTA's and opportunities at your child's new school, please consider attending. Also, please save the date for 2 principal's chats (meet and greets) on January 22nd at 9:30AM and 7PM, along with an initial Sugarloaf Elementary PTA Steering Committee meeting on February 4th at 7PM. All meetings will be held at Sugarloaf Elementary.

Thank you to all the Shining Stars that submitted entries to the Reflections Contest. We had 17 entries!!!! An announcement will be made soon as to which students will move up to the County Level.

We are so very grateful to all the fabulous bakers who donated holiday cookies for the Staff Holiday Cookie Party. The cookies were absolutely scrumptious!
