Information Literacy Course Offered in February
SDSL School Library Services is pleased to announce that it is offering an Information Literacy Course this winter! Join us in February for a fully on-line course focusing on this second strand of the SD School Library Standards. Throughout the course, we’ll learn about topics related to the research process from start to finish.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants can earn 2 graduate or undergraduate credits through USF or 30 Continuing Education Contact Hours through SDSL with readings, viewings, activities, projects, and evaluations designed to equal a total of 30 hours.
For more information and to register, visit: https://sites.google.com/view/learnleadsdslschlib/courses/informationliteracy.
Library Methods On-Demand Courses for School Librarians
SDSL School Library Services is also planning the creation of a variety of Library Methods On-Demand (LMOD) courses that will be offered via the Canvas LMS platform. Participants will be able to complete the coursework at their own (reasonable) pace and earn grad/undergrad credit or CECHs upon successful completion of a course. The number of CECHs offered will be based on the length/rigor of each course.
If you have a topic idea for this type of course, please fill out THIS FORM. All suggestions will be taken into consideration. The first LMOD course is available now!
If you are interested in learning more about textual literacy, which is the first strand of the SD School Library Standards, find out more about the course here: https://sites.google.com/view/learnleadsdslschlib/courses/LMOD.
