Family Movie Night
Join us for a Family Movie night to watch Minions: The Rise of Gru in the Middleton Cafeteria on Friday, January 13th at 5:30 pm. The PAC will provide popcorn and water. Pizza and candy will be available to purchase for $1 each. Please bring a blanket or low rise chairs for your family. All family members are welcome; students must be accompanied by an adult. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the movie will begin at 6:15 pm. For more information, check out this flyer.
PAC Event Co-Chairs Needed
The Middleton PAC is looking for committee co-chairs for two fun evening events we have scheduled for the spring.... the Middleton Horseshoe Hop Dance on March 10th and the Middleton Carnival on May 19th. Both events have been done in the past and have detailed information to pass on to the next chairs. These have been two of our most popular events in the past, but they will not happen without event committee co-chairs leading the way. Ideally, we would like to have at least 2 co-chairs for each event. If you are interested in getting more involved at Middleton, please consider volunteering for one of these positions; we would really like for the students to get to experience these two fun events this year! Health Room Needs
Our health room is in need of pants for boys. For all ages. We keep extra items of clothing stocked in our health room in the event our students need to change for any reason that might occur.
Lost and Found: We are extending the time for parents to check our lost and found for items left behind through today. If you are in the building attending movie night please take a moment to look through the lost and found if you student is missing anything. The lost and found rack will be placed in the main foyer.
Character Trait of the Month
January's Character Trait is Responsibility. Being responsible means being dependable, making good choices, and taking accountability for your actions. A responsible person looks out for the well-being of others and understands we have a party to play in making the world a better place. What a great time of year to start fresh with new goals of being more responsible. Teach your kids ways they can be responsible in your home, school, and our community. If you need ideas to teach responsibility with books to read, family activities, or community events let PAC Volunteer coordinator Melissa Horton know. gmpschorton@gmail.com
Volunteering
There are many opportunities to volunteer at Middleton. All volunteers will need to a) complete a background check and b) submit a proof of vaccination or receive approval for a vaccination exception.
- Background checks are completed online: Background Check Forms. Background checks may take up to 10 days to process.
- Proof of vaccination are submitted to the Middleton front office in person or via email (mwunnicke@sherwood.k12.or.us). This can be done on the first day of volunteering. Vaccination exception forms, if needed, can be found here: Medical Exception Request or Religious Exception Request. Completed exception forms are emailed to Steve Emmert at semmert@sherwood.k12.or.us. Exceptions may take up to 14 days to process.
