A Message from Mr. Velotta
BMMS Families,
Overall we had a great week back from spring break. I hope families were able to enjoy time together and everyone was able to relax and get refreshed for a strong end of the year! This week we will have an adjusted bell schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday as all students complete the Ohio State Tests in math. We ask that families ensure students get a good night's rest, and are to school on time these days, and to please avoid appointments during the 8:00am - 10:00am test time slot.
With the end of the school year comes many activities and celebrations to end a successful year. Team leaders and grade-levels teams will be sharing details of various events and celebrations planned during the last few weeks of school - please watch your e-mails closely!
Make it a great week!
-Mr. Velotta

Girls On The Run Week 7
Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are having so much fun moving through our season! Please remember to read through the lessons and allow your child time to work within their books after lessons.
1. Looking Ahead: Our Tuesday, May 2nd practice will be canceled and moved a day early to Monday, May 1st. Practice this day will still be 3:15-4:30 pm. Thank you for your flexibility with this.
2. Make sure to always bring athletic shoes, socks, and comfortable clothes. We will be moving at EVERY lesson. In addition girls should bring their bags given to them on day one to each practice! It is probably best to store these in lockers so they are not forgotten.
3. 5K Info: All girls actively in GOTR do not have to register as they already are. However, anyone who would like to participate with them will need to register. See Spring 5K flier below. They are also looking for volunteers to help run the event.
4. Carpool: Start to encourage your girls to talk with other girls on our team and share numbers. This can be helpful for those who may struggle with rides home after practices or the day of the 5K in Akron. This also ties nicely with our lessons surrounding making friends.
5. Materials/Booklets: Remember to bring all GOTR materials to practices. Materials include bags, pen(s), coloring materials, water bottle, booklet, etc. Books will be worked on at practice and are also encouraged to work on at home to complete and reflect upon throughout the week.
6. Shirts: Coach Cooney will be picking up shirts sometime this week. Coaches will then distribute shirts the week of May 1st.
Click HERE for the outline of what we will be covering this week!
Sincerely, Your Girls on the Run Coaches
Coach Cooney-Steele, Coach Kall, Coach Isabella, and Coach Collins
