WHPE Update February 2020
"Better Together"
Greetings,
I hope all is well. Are you experiencing the dog days of February or cruising right along with your school year? I can honestly say I feel a little of both. I love that the days are getting longer and our temperatures have been mild. This year, I purposefully scheduled some of my favorite units to teach - bowling, self defense, angleball and tchoukball- in February. Do you have any strategies to share about how you navigate the ebbs and flow of the school year? Perhaps you would consider doing a presentation at our WHPE convention about that or something else you are passionate about. Proposal are due March 15. Have you visited the WHPE facebook page lately? Since the beginning of the year, our Board of Director members have been sharing great posts to try to reach out to you and provide valuable resources. Read through the posts or better yet, add to your ideas and questions. We are Better Together.
As many of you know, we are in the process of replacing our CEO, Keith Bakken, who will soon be retiring. We will be conducting interviews this Friday, February 21, and hope to make an announcement soon!
If we can help you out in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me. We are BETTER TOGETHER!
Warm Regards,
Maureen Vorwald, WHPE President
