A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Our poor students barely got a chance to enjoy the snow on the playground before it was washed away by the rain. A second-grade student asked me on Wednesday if they were going to be able to use the sleds. I had to break it to him/her that there was no snow!
We're working hard to stay healthy as we move deeper into winter. We practice good hand hygiene by washing frequently, staying in our own space, and covering when we cough. Classroom tables/desks are cleaned as well. Please help us stay healthy by reinforcing these healthy habits at home.
Have a wonderful long weekend! Hopefully, the weather will cooperate for at least part of the time.
SUBSTITUTES
Have you ever considered becoming a substitute teacher? RSU1 offers $130/day and $65/half day. You can sign up to sub at any of the schools in the district, or at a specific school of your choice. You also have the option to sign up as a classroom or specials teacher, or as an Ed Tech that provides classroom support. CLICK HERE to learn more about this amazing opportunity to make an impact!
LOST AND FOUND
- Remember to check the Lost & Found in the school entryway when you are here! There is a growing collection of fleeces, gloves and hoodies looking to reunite with their owners! Putting your child's initials on the tag is really helpful!
- A change of clothing is helpful for all students (not just little kids!). Keeping a spare outfit in the backpack or classroom will prevent the need to call home, if someone gets wet at recess or spills something!
UPCOMING HOLIDAY WEEKEND
There is no school Monday, January 15th, for Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. Enjoy your long weekend!
TISSUES
If you’d like to help classrooms in a big way for a small price, please consider sending in a box or
two of tissues. We always need them! Thank you
