Now, you and your students can connect and interact LIVE with the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History collections and team of experts without ever leaving your campus. Your students will explore science and mathematics with curators, staff, and special guests through interactive videoconferencing. Our programs align with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and the Next Generation Science Standards and are customized to fit your grade-level curricular needs.
Kits are available for all programs. A kit includes materials for interactive experiments for 30 students, a Teacher’s Guide, extension activities, and resources.

Mars Exploration Continues

Magicians' secrets revealed! For years magicians have relied on scientific principles for their most amazing illusions. Students will witness tricks such as disappearing objects and the bed of nails, and uncover the science behind the magic.
Astronomy Day 2018 from McDonald Observatory and the NASA Parker Solar Probe!

During this program, Marc Wetzel and your students will take a brief helicopter tour of the UT McDonald Observatory, explore the NASA Parker Solar Probe recently launched towards the Sun, and make live telescope observations of our star the sun with telescopes equipped with special video cameras and solar filters. Students will complete their Student Sun Drawing Sheet and learn about the solar features they observe on the sun by watching unique science demonstrations.

Myths and Unsolved Mysteries of the Texas Revolution

What were the causes of the Texas Revolution? What key players and events helped a small group of revolutionaries achieve independence from Mexico? There are some mysteries to the story we may never solve. Students will sort through the fact and fiction of this epic moment in Texas history through an artifact adventure, and discover why the Texas Revolution is crucial to understanding American history.

Birds of prey, also known as raptors, are a common sight in the skies. During the program, we will take an up-close look at a live Peregrine Falcon to discuss the important body structures and their functions. We will investigate the falcon’s diet, their role in the food web, the habitats in which they are found, and the adaptations that allow them to be such powerful predators and fast fliers.

Swimming in schools or swimming alone, many types of fishes are found in the Caribbean Sea habitat at the Texas State Aquarium. Use your STEM process skills of observation, data collection, and communication to study one group of fish and teach others about it.
