Getting Ready...

I hope that everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer so far! While we still have a number of weeks before the school year commences, I wanted to offer some initial information to families. I've noticed a growing eagerness about the upcoming school term, prompting me to address some inquiries. More detailed information will be provided as we approach the beginning of the school year. In the meantime, I hope this information helps many of you as you start school preparations. I am excited to greet new faces and see so many I have missed over the last few months.

Families of new students in Grades 1-5 are cordially invited to join our Principal, Mr. Blanchard, for a school tour on Thursday, August 24th, at 10:00 AM. This event offers students the chance to see the school premises, get a sneak peak at their dedicated classroom, and ask any questions they might have. Please note that classroom teachers will not be present at this time as they officially return to school for training, meetings and classroom preparations on Aug. 28th.

Early Release Day – All students in Grades K-5 will be dismissed at 12:15. Full Day preschool students will be dismissed at 11:15. Lunch will be served.

Open House for Parents/Guardians, Grades 1-5
6:00 - 8:00 PM

Dee Bus Co. serves as our dedicated bus transportation provider. They are diligently engaged in preparing the upcoming bus routes, encompassing all students automatically in the route planning process. Once these routes are finalized, we will promptly dispatch them to all families via email, prioritizing safety by refraining from posting them online.

Anticipate receiving the route details within the next few weeks, and we will make them accessible as swiftly as possible. Transportation will exclusively be provided to and from the student's primary home address. In the scenario of multiple households within town, please reach out directly to Dee Bus Co. They will assess the availability of space for the secondary address on the bus, though securing a spot is contingent upon the bus's capacity.

Many teachers choose to send summer letters to families themselves however I have copies of a few which I will share below.

Please know that the school strives to provide the vast majority of school supplies for all students therefore lists are typically quite small, if a list exists at all. Classroom donations such as tissues, ziploc-style bags (varying sizes) or similar items are always appreciated and certainly not required.

Regardless of grade level, all students should plan to bring the following items to and from school each day:

• a standard size backpack
• a nutritious snack
• a reusable water bottle
  
  

In the event that any student requires assistance in obtaining these items, please don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Frommer or Nurse Lyndsey directly. We are more than happy to provide support.

I will add letters and lists when and if I receive copies. There's no need to worry if you haven't received a letter or if you don't see it listed above. Keep in mind that it's only the beginning of August, and we still have a few weeks before school commences.

Please use the link below to learn more about the Extended Learning Program. At this time, the program is full however waitlist requests are being accepted. Often students schedules change throughout the year which opens opportunities for waitlisted students.

While the program takes place at MRE before and afterschool, the MRE office does not manage the program or the enrollment. Please contact the Extended Learning Team at our districts central office for additional information.

We are currently awaiting word from the state on whether they will be continuing the free lunch & breakfast program for all students. As soon as information is available, it will be sent to all families.
