IMPORTANT NEWSLETTER! PLEASE READ!

Dear Village Families,

As you may know, we are in the process of preparing for a return to in-person learning! Please see the important information here about re-opening:

• WHEN WILL SCHOOL RE-OPEN?

• RVUSD is aiming for a March 29 re-opening date. We will keep you posted. This is the Monday after Spring Break.

• The three school days before March 29 (March 17, 18, 19) will be asynchronous learning via SeeSaw and Google Classroom in order for the teachers and staff to prepare for the return of students.

• ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR:

• Texts and emails from the RVUSD District Office confirming in-person start dates

• An email containing specific information for Village (middle of next week)

• An invitation for Village Parent Information Night, Tuesday, March 16th, 5:30 p.m.

• Informaiton about returning to in-person learning

• Parents Club update.

• An invitation for Village Parent Questions and Answer Forum--Two Opportunities!

• Thursday, April 1 at 6:00 pm

¡BOLETÍN IMPORTANTE! ¡POR FAVOR LEA!

Estimadas familias de Village,

Como sabrán, ¡estamos en el proceso de prepararnos para volver al aprendizaje en persona! Consulte la información importante aquí sobre la reapertura:

• ¿CUÁNDO VOLVERÁ A ABRIR LA ESCUELA?

• RVUSD apunta a una fecha de reapertura el 29 de marzo. Los mantendremos informados. Este es el lunes después de las vacaciones de primavera.

• Los tres días escolares antes del 29 de marzo (17, 18, 19 de marzo) serán de aprendizaje asincrónico a través de SeeSaw y Google Classroom para que los maestros y el personal se preparen para el regreso de los estudiantes.

• Viernes 12 de marzo: Día de recoger y dejar

• Viernes 12 de marzo: Las boletas de calificaciones van a casa

• Martes 16 de marzo: Foro de información para padres, 5:30 p.m.

• Miércoles, jueves y viernes, del 17-19 de marzo: días tentativos de aprendizaje asincrónico (como los miércoles) para la planificación del maestro

Total costs is $22.25. ($20 for Yearbook and $2.25 credit card security fee)

Please submit photos and our yearbook staff may select your photos for the yearbook.

Please see the flyers below and upload your personal pictures for the yearbook.

Picture ideas include:

First day of school drive-through

First day of school snap shots

Your students in their workspace

Your student doing classwork, attending assemblies or Zooms.

Creative home classrooms

Your child reading

Enrichment activities (PE, cooking, music, hiking, etc.)

Material drop off/ pick up experience

Halloween drive through pictures or pictures at home

Winter break photos

If you child is going to be absent from any classroom zoom time due to illness, appointment or other reason please contact the Village School office at (707)545-5754 and press 1 for the attendance line. Please leave your child's name, teacher, the date you called, the reason for the absence.

If you are having technology issues and you are unable to get onto a zoom please also contact the school attendance line.

The main newsletter is sent in English to all families however, there is the option to translate it into multiple languages. If you would like to have the translated newsletter please open the newsletter in your web browser and you will see a box to the left that says "translate." Select the arrow to download the translation and choose your preferred language. A screen print is provided below for reference. Thank you!
