Husky Howler 12/15/23 (Guardians)

PACK Guardians,

On behalf of the entire Husky PACK, MERRY CHRISTMAS! We hope you have a wonderful break and we will see your kiddos back on January 3rd. Thank you to everyone who donated for the canned food drive. Ms. Reid's advisory class took the lead TODAY and finished in 1st place! They received an ice cream sundae bar treat before lunch. Enjoy your break and we will see you soon!

UIL - We are getting geared up for a UIL competition in the spring and want your student to participate! Here is a google slideshow with information that was shown to the students and they may sign up in CANVAS.

Student pictures - Who takes the BEST student pictures? MOMS AND DADS! We want YOUR awesome pictures to utilize in our yearbook for this year. I have created a google folder that you can upload them into. This has many folders inside for the different events we have had including the first day of school, sporting events, new student orientation/open house, theater, cheer, 6th grade social, homecoming, etc. Please utilize this google folder to upload your pictures!

Christmas Break - 11/16-12/2

Wednesday, January 3rd - Students return for school. It is an "A" day.

This week, the Hubbard Orchestra and Choir went around town performing for various schools and community members. Ms. Reid and Mr. Pasqualetto do an awesome job of leading these students!

Thank you to everyone who donated to the canned food drive! Here is the winning class enjoying their ice cream sundaes!

They sent their elves this week to continue serving our campus. If you are a member of their church then thank you so much!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the car show last Friday! We had an awesome group of cars and hope to make the event even better next year. A special shoutout to our PTA president, Kelly Youngblood, and Youngblood Garage, for all their hard work to organize it!

Mrs. Studinka provided a fun extension activity to learning about banking systems by letting the students play "Tyleropoly." They had a great time playing the banker!

We were so happy to provide students with so many FREE used books this week. Much better than letting them go to waste!

We added a new PACK member this year to 8th grade science and she has been SPECTACULAR! Shoutout to Lorren Munson for being named the December Husky teacher of the month!

PTA showed up in a big way for our teachers by providing a hot cocoa and dessert bar on Wednesday. Then they were back at it on Thursday providing holiday greetings for the students during lunches. We appreciate all that our PTA does to support our staff and students!

Our 6th grade girls have an amazing opportunity to attend the annual Girl Power Summit, hosted by the Junior League of Tyler, on Saturday, January 27th.

The party bus will leave Hubbard Middle School at 8 am!!!

This event will fill up quickly, so get your signed permission slip returned to Mrs. Fancher or Mrs. Norris ASAP!!!
