Welcome Back!
“Breckenridge Community Schools- Learning Under Construction”
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! It is certainly an exciting time at Breckenridge Community Schools. We are focused on returning back to normal operations, improving daily, serving our students and community, and improving our learning environment.
This school year, we will be looking towards the future here at Breckenridge Community Schools! We are in the process of renovating and rebuilding our school as well as moving beyond a very difficult school year. So we’ve decided to shift our primary focus back to the learning of our students. However, this will take place this school year as we are doing the important work of updating our learning environment - Learning Under Construction.
We are also moving forward from a previous school year that had many challenges for staff, students, and parents. We appreciate your support during the year and we look forward to being able to provide collaborative and inclusive opportunities for all of our stakeholders. Thank you!
Please see our 2021-2022 Back to School Plan if you would like further information.
As we look forward to what is to come, we welcome all of our new staff to our district. We also welcome our new families and students to the district. We’re glad you’ve chosen to be a Huskie!
We look forward to working with our parents and community to provide an excellent educational environment. Please stay informed and up to date with what is going on in BCS. The best way to do that is to download our BCS app to your smartphone. Or you can visit our website at www.breckhuskies.org or via our Facebook page. We also invite you to stay up to date with your student’s progress through PowerSchool. Thank you for partnering with us in educating your child!
We feel that we are a small town school where we know your student by name, while being able to offer programs and activities that compare with much larger districts. If you would like to meet with me or a building administrator, please call 989-842-3182 to arrange an appointment so we can guarantee time for you.
I look forward to what the future has in store for Breckenridge Community Schools and we look forward to partnering with you in “Learning Under Construction”.
Sincerely,
Wade Slavik, Superintendent
