You are almost done with Quarter 3! Let's finish off this quarter strong and enter into Spring Break feeling accomplished!

When we return we will be starting Quarter 4 on Monday March 29th (this is a Group B/D day), that leaves only 9 weeks of school! WOW this 2020-2021 school year just flew by!

If you are needing to make up grades, Summer school information will be coming out after spring break so be sure to check your emails and our website!

It's that time of year again! Spring Programming! If you have yet to submit your Course Selections make sure to do so ASAP! Submitting your course selections helps your counselors create your 2021-2022 school schedule. We would love your input!

Please watch the Spring Programming YouTube Video and fill out your Google Form for your graduating class on the Matador Course Selections Flyer 2021 by March 12, 2021.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic may be stressful for people. Fear and anxiety about a new disease and what could happen can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, can make people feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. However, these actions are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Coping with stress in a healthy way will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger.

Via Rápida First Year Experience (FYE) is a student support program at Grossmont College designed to help guide students during their first year of college by providing ongoing social and academic support.

FAFSA and CADAA deadline was March 2nd, but that doesn't mean you can't still submit your 21-22 FAFSA or CADAA application seniors. Please reach out to your Counselor if you still need help submitting your application. Don't delay! It's important that you get these applications in to be eligible for Priority Registration. Counselor information can be located at the bottom of this newsletter or on the Mount Miguel website .

What is the Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise?

• The Promise is an opportunity for first-time students who are CA residents attending full-time to attend college tuition-free for up to 2 years. The Promise helps students become career and transfer ready, providing seamless guidance and financial support through the completion of their academic and career development goals.

4. If not a US citizen, bring alien registration card(s)

8. Your FSA-ID for FAFSA-Apply for a FSA-ID at fsaid.ed.gov

GUHSD is extending FREE meal service for all students under 18 years of age until December 31st, 2020. Meals will be available for pickup Monday through Friday, at all comprehensive high schools. Here at Mount Miguel High School, meal service can be found at the lower parking lot. Also, don't forget to apply online for your free/reduced meals for the 2020-2021 school year at: https://onlinemealapps.guhsd.net/
