I hope that each and every one of our LCMS families has a wonderful Thanksgiving Break and are able to surround themselves with family and friends. We are very THANKFUL for our wonderful student body and the support we receive from our parents. We have the BEST!

Please encourage your student to come to school early (7:55am) or stay late (until 4:20pm) with their teachers so they can get some work completed before the end of this NINE-week grading period.

Congratulations to the following students on being selected as this month's Pirates of the Month. Each month, LCMS staff choose student Pirates of the Month. These students are chosen for their contributions to our school and community and for being caring, energetic students and good role models for others.

All eighth grade students will be taking the PSAT on the morning of Thursday, November 18 in the 200 pod. They must bring their calculators with them, so please help me remind them to have those with them when they take the PSAT.

*** 8th grade students can pick up their raffle tickets at lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of this week to began selling. Proceeds will go toward the cost of the 8th grade banquet.

WE ARE SELLLING RAFFLE TICKETS FOR $20 FOR A CHANCE TO WIN A $2100 GUCCI EMBOSSED BLACK BACKPACK (MED SIZE) STUDENTS/PARENTS WILL NEED TO TELL BUYER TO PUT THEIR TICKET NUMBER IN THE VENMO MEMO LINE. YOU WILL TEAR OFF THE LARGE PART OF THE TICKET AND GIVE TO BUYER. STUDENT/PARENT WILL RETAIN THE STUB THAT YOU WILL COMPLETE AND TURN INTO RAFFLE BOX IN FRONT OFFICE. I want to thank those families who selected a tag from our Angel Tree during the Thanksgiving Meal. Many of our families will be blessed during this holiday season.

Please know we still have tags on our tree if you are still wanting to help out families. We are also looking for donations to the Pirate Pantry to help with food boxes over the holidays and blessing the siblings of our Pirates that were chosen from the Angel Tree.

In order to complete parking lot construction, the lane closest to the front entry of Lubbock-Cooper Middle School will be temporarily CLOSED beginning Monday, November 15. LCMS and South Elementary parents who enter the campuses from Loop 493 will be diverted to the parking lot lane (see the green path on the map). LCMS students can be dropped off on the south side of the future LCMS front parking lot, where they can safely cross to the entrance of their school building (see the star on the map).
