Planning for Next School Year?

Middle schools in Aiken County open at 7:30 am and dismiss at 3:10 pm. Students are considered tardy at 8:00 am and must enter through the main office after 8:00 am.

Please note that Highland Springs Middle is designated as a non-walking campus and any students who need to walk to or from school should notate bus rider on their registration form to be picked up or dropped off at a bus hub in their neighborhood.

23-24 Schedules

Schedules for HSMS students were sent to home schools this past week. Your student should have received their schedule from their current school of attendance. If they did not, please email pday@acpsd.net to receive the schedule via email.

Powerschool Parent will not have schedules available for viewing until the beginning of July.

Interested in Athletics or Cheering at HSMS?

All students interested in cheer, football, or volleyball for the 23-24 school should fill out the application form below. The link includes dates and information about cheer tryouts for the 23-24 school year at HSMS. More information will be forthcoming about winter sports such as basketball.

PTO Members Needed

Interested in serving on the PTO at Highland Springs? We need all positions for the PTO board. The PTO board organizes fundraisers and activities for students throughout the year. Please contact Paige Day at pday@acpsd.net if you are interested in holding a board position. We will determine a meeting date and time that is convenient for parents on the board.

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Enrollment at HSMS

Q: Do I need to register if I am zoned for Highland Springs Middle School?

A: Yes. All ACPSD returning students need to be registered through the parent portal link. Go to Aiken County Public School District / Homepage (acpsd.net) for more information.

Q: Do I need to pick my courses if I am enrolled at HSMS?

A: No. The courses that were chosen at the home school were modified to match the courses that were equivalent at Highland Springs Middle School. Tentative schedules will be available by the end of May.

Q: Will there be sports offered at Highland Springs?

A: Yes. HSMS will offer football, volleyball, cheer, basketball, and golf. Interested students should fill out the interest surveys for fall sports below. Information about tryouts will be forthcoming.
