Need to Know Information
School IN Session Tomorrow: Don't forget we do have school tomorrow, Monday, April 3! We will not have school on Friday, April 7.
Autism Awareness Day: We will be celebrating Autism Awareness Month on Monday, April 3. We are encouraging everyone to wear blue! We can't wait to see who has the most blue on tomorrow!
Character Assembly: We will be having our Character Assembly for April on Thursday, April 6 at 7:45 AM in the Jr. High Gym. Parents are welcome to come to this assembly. In addition to celebrating our Character students, we will also be having special performances by our Elementary Honor Choir and the Crane Jr. High Stomp Class.
Easter Parties: Class Easter parties will be held on Thursday, April 6 at 2:30 PM. (Three-year-old preschool will have their party at 10:00 AM.) Teachers will be letting you know what is needed for the parties! CSCO will be providing eggs stuffed with candy for an egg hunt. Teachers will need parents' help in hiding the eggs for their classrooms.
CSCO Princess Ball: Most Princess Ball Registration forms were sent home Friday (some may get theirs Monday). This night is meant for our girls to feel like princesses with a very important adult coming as their date. Students should be accompanied by an adult at this event. Remember, only the princess and her date will be allowed in the dance, however, if you would like to get a front row view of the evening, you can sign up to help here! Princess Ball Forms are due back by April 14!
CSCO Tee Ball/Baseball Forms: CSCO Tee Ball/Baseball Forms were sent home Friday to children in preschool through current 3rd grade. Children must be three years old to play. If you have a child who does not attend Crane yet, stop by the Crane Elementary office to fill out a form. If you are interested in coaching a team, there is a place on the form to indicate that! We appreciate all the volunteers who make this possible! Forms and registration fees are due by Friday, April 21.
Headphones Needed: One of the two school supplies parents had to provide for students this year was headphones. Please check with your child or child's teacher to see if your students headphones are still working/at school as all students will need their headphones for end-of-year testing that begins April 18 for 3rd-6th grade students. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will need their headphones by May 9.

Yearbook: In case you have missed the posts about the Crane Schools Yearbook, all sales are online this year. Books are $45 and all sales end May 31, 2023. If you would like to order a yearbook please go to [https://shop.yearbookmarket.com/craneelementaryandhighschool] .
Official Communication: Please remember that all school related communications with staff should come through either phone, direct school email, or Class Dojo.
Student Absences: If your child is absent from school for any reason, please call the office to let us know. The phone number is 417-723-5300 ext. 902.
Breakfast: If your child is a parent drop off each morning and wants to eat breakfast at school, he/she needs to be dropped off no later than 7:40 AM. We have had a few come after 7:45 and they do not have time to get to breakfast before being counted tardy for class.
SNAP and Medicaid Application Assistance: If you would like assistance in applying for SNAP or Medicaid, then please call the Elementary office so we can help you set up an appointment with someone who can help you complete the process. If you would like us to send home applications for you to complete on your own, we can do that too. Just give us call and let us know how we can help! 417-723-5300 ext 902.
