Football Team's First Games
The Eagles started the year with two hard-fought games. Vista opened up the year against Camino Real Middle School. Our boys played hard and we saw big tackles from Vista to stop Camino Real from Scoring done by #24 (Alpha Kapuwa) & #88 (Elijah Ghalayini). We saw Vista fight until the very end, although falling short to the Wildcats 22-0. After the game, we spoke with Vista’s Quarterback Brody McCann. We asked him his thoughts about the game. He stated “Intense!!! A great way to start the season.” Week 2 brought another great game. #33 (Israel Cabanas ) did outstanding in this Game against Lynn. He even almost scored a touchdown himself! #8 Brody McCann came up clutch himself with a huge interception. Vista had big plays coming from The Eagles and had a great game going all the way into the 4th quarter. The big man #94 Mario Salinas was the guy to close out such a great game. He kicked an extra point that won the game 7-6 for Vista. After the game, we asked him how the win felt and he said “It feels pretty good actually not going to lie.” The Eagles' next game is September 7th at home versus Zia Middle School!

Volleyball Serves Up A Great Start
Volleyball has started off the year on a high note. All three teams have had great games against Lynn and Picacho Middle School. The girls have continued to work hard and do the little things in order to win! All three teams have continued to see their collective efforts come together in order to be successful. The next game for all three teams is the 10th of September versus Camino Middle School!
