Mason Bee Project at Earth Day - by Alicia Welder
The Siskiyou School was able to share our new Pollinator Garden and Mason Bee project with the larger community at the annual earth day event hosted at by the SOU farm. We had over 80 children visit our booth to make seed balls filled with a mix of local pollinator friendly plant seeds. We also had on hand our mason bee egg sacks which will soon find a home in the bee houses hand crafted by the 4th grade (with the help of second grade finger knitting). We have a new link on our school website to learn more about the project. Check back in the fall to see our bee colony is doing!
Special thanks to Ms Tourzan for her hard work on the project, Kate Levin and Melissa Marks-Ladd for volunteering at our booth, and Mr Criswell for the much needed clay. We hope all our Siskiyou school families had fun at the event and thank you for stopping by!

June 18th-25th
Port Orford, Oregon
With Lexi Delgado and Kelly Tisdel
This is the first generation facing all the unknowns of what we have created in the last 250 years without navigation systems yet in place. Their anxiety, depression, hopelessness makes sense AND there’s a way forward, we’ll find this…together.
With the backdrop of secluded beaches and old growth trees, we’ll sink into our natural rhythms to find our authentic compass point.
Kayaking. Hiking the beach. Exploring the shoreline. Sleeping under stars with the sound of waves. Circles and ceremony around the fire. Solo opportunity. One-on-one attention and community holding.

Looking for Nanny
We are seeking a nanny to be with Alva 3 days per week as I return to work. The days would be consecutive (most likely Mon-Wed) and the hours are at this point flexible/not yet known exactly. But it would be full days, with the additional potential need for picking up Elias from school and/or summer camps as we approach summer holidays.
Thank you!

Family Looking for Home
Hello lovely neighbors!
Our family is preparing to settle back into the Ashland area after a long-term road trip sabbatical, launching into Kindergarten and 9th grade in the Fall. We are looking for a 3 bedroom home and will take great care of it. We are a dual income family with no pets and are hoping to connect up with kind folks who are looking for trustworthy people to look after their lovely property.
We can take care of landscaping and home upkeep and even do home improvements in exchange for discounted rent.
Please get in touch with leads or suggestions, we have been around the area for many years and will provide solid references. Many thanks for helping us to find our future nest 🙏🏼
