Message from the Principal
JAJHS Families,
I hope you and your family are enjoying some cooler weather and even some needed rain!
Earlier this week, the JAJHS took full advantage of the professional development day to spend time looking at our students’ data, trends, strengths, and needs. We participated in a number of growth opportunities to help us be #BetterEveryDay! We appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow on days like this.
Please be sure to read the newsletter below for important reminders and activities around our school.
Sincerely,
Mr. Malany
Principal
Message from the Assistant Principal
JAJHS Families,
Our fall sports teams are in the home stretch of their seasons and have experienced some great success this year! We are excited to wrap up an outstanding fall season and set our sights on kicking off our winter sports.
We are planning on giving out information on winter sports next week to our students. This information will also be posted to our athletic website. If your son/daughter is planning on trying out for basketball or joining the wrestling team, please make sure you have an up-to-date sports physical on Final Forms.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks and go Pioneers!!
Message from the School Counselor
Sleep is one of the most important factors for a healthy life. Poor sleep hygiene can have a substantial negative impact on necessary tissue/muscle repair, immune system functioning, memory and concentration, emotional regulation and mood, academic performance, and even athletic performance.
Teens need at least 8-10 hours of sleep per night to function well and meet the demands of daily life. Check out the graphic below for more information and tips about sleep!

Immunizations
Reminder to all Parents/Guardians of 7th graders:
Please turn in Immunization records showing your 7th grader received the required TDAP and Meningitis Vaccines or an Exemption Form, if necessary. You can Fax the records to the junior high office at 614-873-0845 or email them to cazareje@japioneers.org.Medications at School
Sometimes parents ask that school personnel administer medication to their child during the school day.
