EBC Family,

We will have a reception immediately following our morning worship service this Sunday (5/7) for Roger and his family In the Atrium. There will be a basket for cards and gifts. Please plan to stop by and express your appreciation and gratitude to the Howell family.

If you are a senior citizen, I encourage you to be here this coming Sunday morning for the message. We will be studying Psalm 71 which addresses the negative emotions of feeling discarded or abandoned. Many seniors wrestle with these feelings as they age - especially when they find that they can’t be useful and helpful in the same ways that they could in their younger days. But God’s Word offers encouragement and a way to continue to honor God and His people regardless of your age.

We will continue our sermon series on Hope for Troubled Hearts through the end of May. Here are the negative emotions that we will address in the coming weeks: 5/14 Feeling Overwhelmed, 5/21 Experiencing Doubt, 5/28 Feelings of Failure. My prayer for us as a Church is that we will learn to replace our negative emotions with what is true about us in Christ.

Join us this Sunday night at 6:00 for a church-wide concert. Pastor Craig’s friend Graham Jones will be sharing his music and ministry with us. We will collect a love offering for Graham.

Graham Jones Concert

Come enjoy a night of great music with Graham Jones on Sunday, May 7! Graham is a Texan singer-songwriter who traces the story of the gospel with thoughtful lyrics and rich melodies. Inspired by six-string storytellers like Jon Foreman, John Mayer, and Andrew Peterson, his music is honest, joyful, and contagious with longing. Childcare will be available. The concert starts at 6 pm. The concert is free, with a love offering taken up to show Graham our appreciation. You won’t want to miss out!

Making a Difference

The EBC Preschool Department needs an Assistant Teacher in the Sunday morning Babies Grow Group class.
