We will be sending out this correspondence weekly to keep you informed of school wide happenings and also opportunities for your students to be involved in at their home sites! We look forward to working with you and your student this school year!
School Wide Information
Monday: Teachers will be available LIVE during the department time according to the IVA Middle School Schedule and IVA High School Schedule . Please check your CANVAS course for an announcement that provides you a link to find your teacher on Monday. Advisement is the only mandatory class on Monday.
Tuesday-Friday: Please follow the schedule and go to each class. You should check the announcements in CANVAS for the link to the live session.
Bell Schedule Template- Are you/your student still having difficulty navigating the bell schedule and remembering class zoom links? Click IVA Middle School or IVA High School to make a copy of our Schedule Template to keep all class zoom links organized in one document.
The Irvine Family Resource Center is available to IUSD Families and typically serves students/parents who are having difficulty accessing their mental health support through their insurance provider due to lapse of coverage, a limited amount of sessions, not having mental health coverage within their insurance provider or is having difficulty getting linked to an appropriate provider. Schedule Adjustment Request Information
Your student has until September 11th to make a request to drop a class without penalty. Please keep in mind that students may not drop a class if it makes them under enrolled. Please use the Course of Request Change Form to submit your request. Due to the high volume of requests, schedules will not be adjusted over email. Thank You for understanding!
SAY SOMETHING- Last Spring the Irvine Unified School District implemented the Sandy Hook Promise SAY SOMETHING Anonymous Reporting System, also known as SS-ARS for short. This additional safety protocol allows for students, staff, and the community to send anonymous tips about life safety and non-life safety issues happening on or around our school. Chromebook checkouts will take place on 9/14 from 8-9am in Room S11 (located in front of the school).
ID Cards will take place on 9/14 from 8-11am at the Attendance Office.
IVC Assistance- Irvine Valley College Counselor, Marcy Maldonado, is available to speak to IHS IVA students via telephone or online chat every Monday from 9-1 pm and every Wednesday from 1-4 pm.
