Congratulations to the October Hemlock Elementary & K.C. Ling Leaders of the Pack. These students were chosen by their teachers for routinely Practicing safety, Acting responsibly, Working together, and Showing respect.

As the school year progresses, teachers will be choosing one student per month as their Leader of the Pack. Students chosen will be given a t-shirt and recognized at a school-wide assembly in front of their peers. The October Leaders of the Pack are:

Wishing our Huskie Football Team good luck in their second playoff game. Head over to Wallace Field this Friday, November 8th at 7:00 p.m. to cheer our Huskies to a victory over the Sanford Meridian Mustangs!

On behalf of the staff, students, and parents, we would like to thank the PTO for their efforts in organizing so many fun events for our schools. From the book fair & bake sale this upcoming week to Donuts with Dads, we appreciate all your hard work and dedication to our students. The next PTO meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 14th at K.C. Ling at 6:30 p.m.

The staff at Hemlock and K.C. Ling Elementary would like to say THANK YOU to all of our men and women in uniform, past, and present, for the sacrifices you have made to protect our freedoms.

The PTO will be hosting a Bake Sale on Thursday, November 14th during Parent/Teacher Conferences at K.C. Ling. Bake Sale donations can be dropped off with Ms. Jackie in the K.C. Ling office or Ms. Kelly at Hemlock Elementary.

Students will have the chance to shop the Scholastic Book Fair. Please look for a flyer to come this week with your child's scheduled book fair time slot. The book fair will also be open at K.C. Ling during Parent/Teacher Conferences on November 14th.

We will be having a friendly competition next Friday, November 15th between MSU and U of M fans. Student Council members will be coming around Friday morning to count the number of students in each classroom wearing green and white vs. maize and blue. Whichever team is the most represented will have their fight song played on the PA at dismissal on Friday!

The Special Education Department is partnering with Lipari Foods to sell Gardner Pies. Each pie is delivered frozen, giving you the option to bake immediately or store in the freezer for later use. The flavors are apple crisp, cherry crumb, pumpkin, and strawberry. Order forms were sent home today with the students. Please return orders by November 19th. Delivery is expected on November 25th at the high school.
