CELEBRATIONS
Great things are happening at WCS!
Last week twelve WCS Band and Chorus students traveled to Freeport to participate in the District 3 Honors auditions. This event features the best of 7th and 8th-grade Band and Chorus from around the state. We are so proud of our Wildcats who bravely shared their talent!
Conferences on Monday
Sign up for a time to meet with your student's teacher(s)! Conferences are being held on the afternoon of Monday, 11/20. Appointments can be booked by CLICKING HERE.
Lost & Found
Please be sure to look over our Lost & Found while you're at conferences on Monday. Next week will be your last opportunity to check out the Lost & Found, located in the school entryway. All unclaimed items will be donated over Thanksgiving break.
THINGS TO TALK ABOUT
- Next week will be a short week with a half day on 11/20 and 11/21 before Thanksgiving Break. School lunch will be offered both days and dismissal will happen at 12:00pm. If you pick up your student from the bus stop in the afternoon, they will be there 3 hours earlier than usual those two days.
- Parent/Teacher conferences will be happening at WCS on Monday afternoon. You can sign up for an appointment online. If you don't see an appointment time that works for you, please reach out to your student's teacher to try to schedule another time to check in. Conferences are 15 minutes long for students in grades K-5 and 10 minutes long for students in grades 6-8.
- If you are planning on your student missing 2 or more days of school for a trip or a family visit, please complete a Planned Absence form (CLICK HERE). This form helps teachers plan their classroom activities around who will be present and helps the office excuse your student's absence!
- As next week is a short one, we will not be sending out a weekly newsletter. We hope you have a safe and happy vacation and look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Monday, 11/27!
