Reminders About Gym During Lunch
Just a few reminders about being in the gym during lunch:
- Behavior expectations remain the same IN the gym as they are outside the gym.
- Inappropriate language and behaviors are not allowed and will result in you being removed for the next day. This includes tackling, rough play, throwing balls at each other, kicking volleyballs/ soccer balls back and forth across the gym and using profanity.
- You may not bring food into the gym, so if you are still eating your lunch, you need to do so in the cafeteria, not in the gym.
- If you are doing nothing more than just standing around in the gym, then you do not need to be in there.
- Everyone needs to help clean up when the bell rings. It is not ok to just kick the balls to the corner of the gym for someone else to clean up. Take the ball, walk it over and put it away.
- Nothing should be left in the gym, including water bottles, chips, trash...
- Always be safe.
- Remember, it is not required to have the gym open during that time and if you wish to see it continue to be open, you need to be following all behavior expectations.
ATHLETES PLEASE READ! Appointments and Sports
Student athletes, the policy for attendance and sports is in your student handbook that you signed at the beginning of the year, when you begin participation in a sport and it has also been in your daily announcements for weeks, however, just to reiterate the policy... STUDENTS MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE FOR THE FULL SCHOOL DAY IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUR PRACTICES AND/ OR CONTEST (game, match, meet, etc).
If you have an appointment, YOU MUST HAVE A PARENT OR GUARDIAN LET US KNOW (VIA CALL OR EMAIL) AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE of that appointment, and you must bring back a doctor's note to excuse you in order to receive a blue slip to participate in your sport or activity.
The policy is posted below in the Attendance section of your Daily Announcements. Please read thoroughly and if you have any questions, PLEASE ask in the office before your appointment to ensure that you are in full compliance of the extra curricular activity policy. PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH YOUR PARENTS AGAIN SO THEY KNOW TO CALL YOU IN 24 HOURS AHEAD!
Attention Seniors!
When you get a chance, stop in the office and double check the spelling of your first, middle and last names to make sure they are spelled correctly for your diploma!! All you need to do is check the spelling or add your middle name if it is not listed. If the spelling of your full name is correct, please initial by your name. If there is an error, please PRINT the correct spelling in the space below your name! Thanks so much!

IF YOU NEED TO REPORT A THREAT, HERE'S HOW
FUN FACT I BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW!
In the movie, Elf, Buddy's name came from his diaper! When Santa visited the orphanage that baby Buddy was living at, and was putting presents under the tree, Buddy crawled into his bag. So, when Buddy first arrived at the North Pole, one of the elves saw that his diaper said Little Buddy Diapers. They thought his name was Buddy.
