I hope that you all have a great summer break.
End of the year Report Card Grades will be available next week in your Home Access Center. Hard copies of report cards will be mailed to your home address by the end of next week. If you have not updated your information for the 2022-2023 school year. Please do so as soon as possible.
Our construction is moving ahead but it looks like we will be in our new building mid October.
This summer our entrance will be moved to the Athletic Entrance starting June 6th. You will be able to drop off and pick up in the same lane as the buses off Cliff Brier for this time frame. Thank you for your patience.
Our summer office will be open from June 6th - June 24th 8 am - 1:30 pm Monday - Friday.
You may reach the main office from 7:30 am- 5pm Monday - Thursday and 8 am - noon on Fridays at 210-397-7400.
This summer we will have several opportunities for our students:
Summer School (for students who failed 2 or more cored content classes) will take place at Zachry from 8:30 am - 1 pm Students will be able to have breakfast and lunch. The dates are June 7th (Tuesday) through June 24th, Monday-Friday. These student's families have been notified. Contact Mr. Bishop at 210-397-7416 for any questions.
Attendance Retrieval (for students in High School Credit classes who have passed the course but have not met the State Attendance Requirement). This will take place at Zachry from 8:30 am - 1 pm Students will be able to have breakfast and lunch. The dates are June 7th (Tuesday) through June 24th, Monday-Friday until the student has met the seat hour requirement. These student's families have been notified. Contact Mr. Bishop at 210-397-7410 for any questions.
HB4545 Intervention for students who did not pass the STAAR Reading or Math tests The Texas Legislature required by law HB4545 that we provide 30 hours of intervention for each subject student's failed of the STAAR state assessment. This law continues this upcoming school year 2022-2023. Our scores improved in almost every area and even some students who failed made accelerated improvement. The work of our teachers has made a difference with your students in these interventions.
This summer we are offering families the opportunity for their students who need the 30 or 60 hours of interventions (depending on if they failed STAAR Reading and/or Math) to come to Zachry from 8:30 am - 1 pm for intervention. Students will be able to have breakfast and lunch. The dates are June 7th (Tuesday) through June 24th, Monday-Friday. If your student is able to attend this is a great way for them to get this extra support now. If you are not able to have your student attend, we will be having our State Compensatory Math and Reading classes as well as the intervention study halls following the bell schedule we used this year. Teachers have either made contact or are trying to make contact with you for the Accelerated Intervention Plan paperwork required in HB4545. Strength and Conditioning Camp Open to all Zachry Wolverines (incoming 6th graders through out going8th graders and everyone in between). Great way to get or stay in shape. Our coaches will be sponsoring at Zachry June 6- 20th, Monday through Thursdays. 8 am - 11am. Cost is $85 for all four weeks and scholarships are available.
