You may have noticed, but a new digital sign has been installed at the entrance of the school. It is a wonderful welcoming addition to our school grounds, and we thank Viaero Wireless for their sponsorship!

We are happy to share the news that our varsity knowledge bowl team is headed to state in Greeley on March 13 and 14. The team, consisting of Caleb Poss, Haylee Roseberry, Syvannah McGuire and Carl McGuire, earned their way by placing 7th overall out of 40 teams and they also had the 3rd highest score on the written test. Thank you to coaches Michael Schoenecker and Paula McGuire for all the time spent working with the knowledge bowl kids.

The Akron Rams completed their second day of regionals with four placers, two state qualifiers, and 61 points. Each member of the Rams wrestling team has a lot to be proud of this season and everyone of them contributed to the 61 team points. Merek Charney and Tayshaun Thomas qualified for state by placing in the top four of their weight class. Individual results: Merek Charney 3rd, Tayshaun Thomas 4th, Mason Porteus 6th, and Tayte Smith 6th. Jakzon Livesay and Anthony Benavidez both had very good seasons and picked up wins at the regional tournament.
Congratulations wrestlers and coaches, and good luck to our two wrestlers that advanced to state.

Our HS girls and boys have been working hard. They each picked up a win against Haxtun and Hi- Plains over the weekend and will finish the regular season play on Friday in Holyoke. Both the teams are looking strong and are expecting to advance into post season play beginning next week.
