In the gym, students in all grade levels have been practicing their rolling. Over the last two weeks, students have worked in small groups to practice their rolling form and accuracy. This past week the turkey bowling pins came back and students were knocking them down!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This month in music, the Fifth grade began preparing their songs for their concert! Their concert will be on December 14th at 6:00 pm; please let Mrs. Flores know if your student is unable to attend the concert as soon as possible! Fourth grade has been continuing to review rhythm, note values, and rest values. Third Grade has been celebrating an AMAZING performance at their concert! I am so proud of them; please continue to share this with them! Second Grade has been learning about the half note, while First Grade has been introduced to the quarter note and eighth notes. Kindergarten is finishing up their trips to the farm. They will visit their last farm animal and musical instrument after the break! Mrs. Flores hopes everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving break! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to reach me using the information below!

Scholastic Book Fair
We will be having our Scholastic Book Fair beginning Monday, Nov. 27th through Friday, Dec. 1st, which will be held in the library during regular school hours.
I encourage parents to look through the book fair flier with their child and decide what they want their student to purchase, and then send the correct amount of money (including enough for tax) along with them to school. Scholastic also offers an alternative to cash called E-Wallet. Find out how to use E-Wallet by clicking on the link. There is a 7% tax for each purchase. There is also a link to the online fair, so you can shop from home, Nov. 20 - Dec 3. 25% of every online purchase during the fair directly benefits our school!
The Student Council would like to thank the generous RGS families. We collected over 350 items for the Richmond Food Pantry! Thank you for helping our community. Our next service event is our Adopt-a-Family program. Each year, RGS adopts a family for the holiday season. The Student Council will be busy getting the special "Giving Tree" ready next week. Once ready, students can take an ornament with parent's permission. All of the gifts will be going to a family to create a special holiday. This flyer will be sent out next week if you are interested in participating. (See below)
RGS and the Richmond Spring Grove Rotary will be working together again to provide winter coats to students/families in need through Operation Warm. Please see the attached note with sizing details. You can request a winter coat by emailing rsgaoperationwarm@gmail.com or contacting Lori Kokaska, RGS Social Worker by Monday, November 20th.
RGS PTO is excited for another Holiday Shop!
Holiday Shop will run Tuesday, December 5th through Friday, December 8th. Each class will have a certain day and time that they will be shopping.
If you are new to the school and are not sure what Holiday Shop is, we have attached a link where you can preview everything your child is shopping for. Holiday Shop is a chance for kids to shop for their loved ones all by themselves (with the help of some awesome adults ).
If you have any questions please reach out Juana Harnett at jguerr2@hotmail.com or Ruby Frawley at rgspto01@gmail.com
Here is the link for you to preview what your child is shopping for

The PTO is also looking for volunteers to help the kids shop. This is such a fun opportunity! Please look at our sign up genius and see if you can help out.

We will be looking for someone to take over Holiday Shop next year. This event is truly fun to run! It takes roughly 1 hour to get it started and then your time commitment is being here throughout the week that it runs. If this is something you are interested in please email us at rgspto01@gmail.com.
Thank you
