Parent Online Awareness Reminder
We wanted to send a quick message to families to make you aware of information concerning online and app safety. You may have seen some concerning reports in the news regarding content on YouTube, YouTube Kids, and other social media apps. We have recently heard students discussing some of these issues at school, including online challenges, like the Momo Challenge.
We encourage you to research these concerns and discuss in an age appropriate way how the actions in these challenges may present dangers to your child or their peers. While many of these challenges start as online hoaxes, they are discussions your child may already be having with their peers. The best way to keep your child safe is to be aware of the apps and resources they use online and have regular conversations about how they spend their screen time. Below are some links further explaining the Momo Challenge and other online risks your child may or may not already know.

Donations Needed for Art Room
Do you have LEGO bricks at home going unused?
The Art room would love to give your bricks a home! We are using them to create murals this year and hope to do more great STEAM activities with LEGO in the future but it will require more bricks!
We are in great need of black, green and brown LEGO but will take any colors to add to our collection.
Please bag and label any donations. If you have questions, please email Mrs. Vance vance@ogschool.org
Thank you in advance!

Preschool Screening Reminder
Oak Grove School will hold a preschool screening for students who are three or four years of age on March 6th from 12:30 - 3:30. This screening will examine a child's proficiency in speech/language, motor development, and will assess their pre-academic skills and will take approximately one hour. Parents with questions may contact Julie Waehner at (224) 424-4718.
(This screening is not the screening for students who will enter Kindergarten in August.)
