ADW Job Fair- Letter from Kelly Branaman
He is risen! I hope that you have had a wonderful Easter and enjoyed quality time with family and friends, last week. We, in The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington (ADW), have come through a very difficult time and yet, also can count our many blessings. Overall, our enrollment is up. Our parent involvement is returning and our students’ test scores are showing significant growth. Our pastors and principals have made countless sacrifices to provide for our students’ needs. Today, I am writing to talk with you about our faculties and staff. I know you join me in thanking our school teachers and staff for the outstanding work they have done throughout the pandemic. Their commitment to Catholic education has been inspiring. As you may have heard in the news, our country is facing a teacher shortage. Our schools have been affected and many of teachers and principals are wearing many hats in order to provide the excellent spiritual and academic excellence you expect. We are putting several recruitment incentives in place to help us meet the teacher shortage challenge for the upcoming school year. We are seeking mission-driven professionals who are called to serve in a Catholic school. We are seeking educators at all levels -- pre-K to 12th grade and in all subjects. We are also looking for counselors, paraprofessionals, and other support personnel. If you or someone you know would like to join us on our mission to provide all students who wish to have a Catholic, academically-challenging and well-rounded educational experience, we encourage you to sign up yourself or encourage others to sign up today for the ADW Virtual Job Fair. The virtual Job Fair will take place Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. I am asking every member of our school communities to help us promote this event, in order to recruit the best and brightest to come work in our schools. Please consider posting the link on your social media, with a comment that encourages your connections to consider serving our schools. You may click the link HERE to register. Thank you for your support and you remain in my prayers, always.
Sincerely in Christ,
Kelly Branaman
Secretary for Catholic Schools Superintendent of Schools
Message from the Library
Baysox tickets can be used at any home game up until June 30th due to Friday's game cancellation. If a student/family chooses to attend a game between May 24 & June 30, they will need to bring their original tickets to the stadium box office and exchange them for a ticket to the game they wish to attend during that time frame. The ticket exchange can be done on the day of the game when they arrive at the stadium.
All Library books are due back May 20th
