Mill Valley Weekly
Thursday, November 19th, 2020
Hello Mill Valley Families,
Here at Mill Valley we are finding so many ways to show that we are thankful. Whether it is taking a moment to read the staff thankful feathers or the post it notes of kindness that are popping up all over school. The one that brought the biggest smiles to our faces was when some of our 1st grade classes held up signs to ask passersby to honk if they were happy. In times like these, it is often hard to find things to be thankful for. However if you really take a closer look, there is kindness all around us to be thankful for.
We wish you and your family a safe and happy Thanksgiving break.
Sincerely,
Robin Schrot, Principal
Allyce Harris, Associate Principal

Class 3
Life can be both difficult and wonderful. How can we “be with” both? (December 2nd @ 6:30 - 7:15 pm)
In this session we will explore how mindfulness can enable us to become more resilient and better able to “be with” the difficulties of life. We will further discuss the benefits of recognizing and savoring what’s good in our life. We will practice strategies for developing both Grit and Gratitude as a means to meet and appreciate every moment.

Mill Valley Families "Make it Matter"
It's time we "Make It Matter" to those families in our school that need our support! Last year, we raised over $2,700 to give back to our Mill Valley families through our annual Coin War. However, we could not safely execute this event with the spread of the pandemic. Therefore, we are asking for you to open up your hearts and help those at Mill Valley in need. 100% of all donations will go to help support these families during the extremely trying year. We have currently raised $930 from the ride to school raffle. We are hoping to raise another $2,000 by FRIDAY!!!
Can we do it? Not without your help! Donations can be made via cash or check (Mill Valley PTO) sent to school or via Venmo (@Mill-Valley-1). Please read the information attached below!
We are forever grateful for your support and we hope to make this holiday season a little easier for our Mill Valley families. Thank you!
