Literacy Engagement Night
Are you interested in learning more about the new English Language Arts curriculum and how best to support your child at home with reading? All parents are invited to a Literacy Engagement Night on February 13 from 5:00-6:00 pm at our school.
Our teachers are very excited to explain the changes to the curriculum and to lead you through the new approaches to teaching reading empowering you to support your child at home. It will be a fun and engaging night for parents to learn first hand more about literacy! Please join us!
Valentine's Day/Ash Wednesday
You may have noticed that this year, Ash Wednesday falls on Valentine's Day. Given the significance of Ash Wednesday for our Catholic Faith, and under the guidance of the Archbishop, we want to ensure that we maintain the sanctity of Ash Wednesday. As a result, Valentine’s Day activities will take place on February 13th, and February 14th will be reserved for Ash Wednesday liturgical celebrations and reflections. More information will be shared as we move into the month of February.
RDCRS Division Theme Art Contest
Calling all Artists!
The contest for next year's Division Theme Poster is now open. Deadline for submissions is March 8, 2024.
This year's winning poster will be included in an art exhibition in the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton Assembly Hall, so we are calling for submissions earlier than usual.
Entries should highlight the third focus of our three-year division theme: being inspired by Christ to serve others. Please see the attached document for full contest details.
All age levels are encouraged to participate. Please send submissions to Jo-Ann Kelly at Montfort Centre by March 8th, 2024.
If you have any questions, please email Jo-Ann at joann.kelly@rdcrs.ca.
