R-PTLE Weekly Family Communication
Week of October 30th, 2023 (#10)
Here Comes November!
Dear Families,
Over the next two weeks we will have an opportunity to hold Parent-Teacher Conferences. Although we can expect 2-way communication throughout the year as it relates to the teaching and learning your student(s) engage in, it is a great opportunity to see the space they learn in and to ask questions about how we can better engage in the process. Please make every effort to attend your child or children’s conference once they are scheduled. Rescheduling may or may not happen as there are limited available slots for rescheduled conferences. I look forward to seeing all of you in our building over the next two weeks.
Please take time to look into all the items in this weeks newsletter. It is packed full of information. Some is fun, some is very important, and all is good to know!
A reminder that there will be no Halloween activities on Tuesday. Be safe on Tuesday and enjoy making great memories! Also, a reminder that there is a 1/2 Day on Friday, noon dismissal - Teachers will be in Professional Training in the afternoon. Another reminder, Meat Stick order forms will need to be turned in on Monday - LAST DAY FOR SALES SUNDAY!!!

Succeed Today!
Power School Demographic Update.
Important!
Updating your demographics in your parent portal is so critical to ensure effective communication, safety, staying informed, Technology User Agreement, and Student Handbook information. Please follow the steps provided in the PDF below. If you already have a portal account the demographic update is fairly simple and straight forward. If you are new and need to create an account follow the steps below. Please call the office for assistance.
Mr. Edwards recently sent out an email for this process to be a priority as student accounts will need to be suspended if user agreements and handbook information is not signed off on. Something we also learned recently is that many of you may think it is completed, but it might not be. We have been able to see that some accounts are 33% completed, or 66% completed, etc... Please check your Parent Portal as November 1st is the day student accounts will be suspended.
Another Year Older!

Rockstar Teacher!
Mrs. Kinstner is always willing to go the extra mile to make second grade fun, memorable and exciting for her students. In my eyes she will always be Superwoman. She can do it all and still have nice hair by the end of the day Blessed to work with her every single day!!!
You were born to be a teacher! Your students THRIVE in your classroom. They LOVE school but what they love even more is learning from you! You put so much of your heart into your classroom.
Your passion ignites a fire for others. I learned so much from you during my first years at TLE and because of that I am a better teacher. You never left my side and you always had my back. You will always be my "Mama Sue" Every student's life that you have touched is brighter because of YOU!
Mrs. Kinstner is a creative and engaging teacher. She always goes the extra mile to make her classroom exciting and inviting. She runs her classroom like clockwork and is a great example to our newer teachers. Our building is fortunate to have her here.
I love walking by her classroom and seeing all the learning that is always going on! She is very invested in her kids. She has built a love for reading, which her kids carry on to the next grade!
She is always there to give a hug, word of encouragement or anything that is needed! I am so thankful our classes are buddy classrooms this year!

Meat Stick Fundraiser order forms have been sent home. Beef Sticks are 2 for $3. Order forms are due back on October 30th. Gearing up for hunting season... These meat sticks were a HUGE hit last year!
Smencils have found their way to R-PTLE! These are all a huge hit with students. They cost $1 and will be available to purchase in the office during lunchtimes. I must say, they are very cool and have a variety of different scents. And, when I say they are a huge hit - I mean the students just can't get enough of them!!!😃😃

All School Musical Event!!!
Capturing Kids Hearts (CKH)
This Month's Theme is Self-Direct!
What does it mean to Self-Direct?
Self-Direction is the ability and learned skill to cast a vision of future goals and then take intentional steps toward who, where, and what we want to be. Instead of focusing on things to control or avoid, we emphasize our responsibility to make positive choices related to our emotions, attitudes, and actions.
Expectations are learned and practiced. Our routines have been established and practiced. Now, our choices, our attitudes, our actions and reactions towards those expectations will control our days at TLE. The self-directed student will take charge of his/her expectations and stay focused on improving.
