Election of Officers

Carson Benner (Chair) and Dr. Paul Haddeland (Vice Chair) will continue their elected roles for the 2022-23 school year.

2022-23 Student Fees: Approved

After a second reading, the board voted to approve a small increase of students fees for the 2022-23 school year. These adjustments were made to reflect the increased cost of goods and services funded by these fees. Students who qualify may receive a reduction in fees.

Policy Updates

After a second reading the board approved the changes to the following policies:


  • GBL-Personnel Records
  • GBAF-AR - Special Education - Individualized Education Program
  • IGBAG-AR - Special Education - Procedural Safeguards
  • IGBB-Talented and Gifted Programs

Resolutions: Approved

Two resolutions were approved by the board:


  • Resolution 05-2022: The annual District Organizational Procedures
  • Resolution 06-2022: Supplemental transportation plan for a small number of students that attend Patton Middle School. The families in the designated area will be contacted.

Established Substitute Rates: Approved

The board approved the established substitute rates for the 2022-23 school year. The rates are based on the following:


  • Classified Substitutes: The rates for classified substitutes are based on the Step 1 pay for each position.
  • Licensed Substitutes: The short-term rate for substitute teachers is calculated by the Oregon Department of Education and is based on the statewide average of first-year teacher salaries. The rate for a long-term substitute is based on 1/190th of the District base salary. The long-term rate goes into effect on the eleventh consecutive work day of substitute service in the same position.
