PBIS --A I R and Social Emotional Lessons
Social Emotional Learning
Closely related to AIR, are social-emotional classroom lessons. Throughout the year, students will learn to to problem-solve, connect and work with peers, and be supported socially and emotionally. The first lesson begins with developing attentive listening skills. Please expect parent information with lesson details and ways you can support at home.
Math
Learning Targets:
I can represent the context of a multiplication problem using drawings and equations. (3.OA.1), (3.OA.3), (3.OA.4)
I can accurately multiply within 100. (3.OA.7)
English Language Arts
Learning Targets:
1. I can determine the key events of the story.
2. I can use key events to summarize a story.
Social Studies
1. I can identify the seven continents and oceans on a map.
2. I can identify the cardinal directions.
3. I can identify the different landforms.
Writing
1. I can choose a topic to write about.
2. I can introduce my characters and setting in an interesting way that hooks the reader.
3. I can use dialogue in my writing.
4. I can describe what characters see, feel, and think to help my reader imagine the story.
5. I can use transition words to show the sequence of events in my story.
6. I can describe the solution or ending to my story to make my story feel finished.
