Welcome Back! We hope you and your family had some time over the last two weeks to relax, read, and rejuvenate yourselves! We are so proud of how energetic and ready our students returned to learning on Monday! Students (and parents!) remembered schedules, expectations, and supplies that were needed for instruction! Awesome Job, Vikings!

Students will begin to return to in-person hybrid learning over the next two weeks. If you would like to change your child's learning plan, please contact Sarah Smith or Sarah Monroe as soon as possible.

Monday, January 11th: Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st Grade and selected students in 2nd-4th grade

Tuesday, January 19th: 2nd Grade

Thursday, January 21st: 3rd & 4th Grade

Several Reminders about Arrival and Dismissal:

Students may begin arriving 15 minutes before the first bell at each school.

Stella May Swartz: 7:25-7:40 AM & 11:40-11:55 AM

Salt Creek Primary: 7:35-7:50 AM & 11:50 AM-12:05 PM

Preschool Start Time: 8:15AM & 12:10PM

For Dismissal, parents may begin arriving at the school 5 minutes before dismissal.

Stella May Swartz: 10:05 AM & 2:20 PM

Salt Creek Primary: 10:15 AM & 2:30 PM

Preschool: 10:45AM & 2:40PM

If you have any questions- please call the Salt Creek Primary or Stella May Swartz offices!

Please do not send your child to school if they are feeling any of the COVID19 symptoms. COVID symptoms include fever (100.4 or higher), new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain from unknown cause, new congestion/runny nose, new loss of sense of taste or smell, nausea, fatigue from unknown cause, muscle or body aches. We are using extreme caution to make sure that all of our students and staff are safe while at school. Your support is critical! We ask that any student that is experiencing a symptom of COVID19 to stay home and report the absence to the office. Our nursing staff will call you about next steps.

In addition, if one of your children is experiencing a COVID19 symptom, all of your children need to stay home.

If someone in the household has tested positive for COVID-19 or is identified as a close contact to someone that has tested positive please call the office. The nurse will follow-up to gather the information required by the health department, discuss next steps, and answer any questions you may have.

Sick of making dinner every night? The FTC has a solution for you! For the month of January, every MONDAY, will be a dine out at Gulliver's! Order take-out or a meal to go! A percentage of the order will go directly to the FTC!

If you haven't done so already, please sign your child's report card by following the directions below.

Would you like to recognize a staff member in Salt Creek School District 48 that deserves some extraordinary recognition for something they have done in our school district to make a difference for others? Please fill out this form to have this staff member recognized for their amazing accomplishment.

If your child is in-person for learning, they have an opportunity to grab a "Grab and Go" meal as they exit the building. The bag includes a breakfast and lunch. Please make sure to talk to your child about if you would like them to grab a meal bag as they are dismissed from the building. The meals are free for every student.

Any District 48 family can pick up 5 days worth of meals (breakfast and lunch) at Albright Middle School at Door 2 on Tuesdays from 1:00-1:30 and 2:30-3:00. You can also pick up meals on Wednesdays from 11:00-4:00 at any District 45 school. If these times do not work for you, please contact the office, and we can arrange a different time for you to pick up the meals. Menus for December are linked below.
