On Tuesday, April 4, the Chelmsford Public Schools will have an early dismissal for professional development. Byam's dismissal will be at 11:45 and lunches will not be served. Please inform the school if your child's dismissal will change from their typical Tuesday.

School is not in session on Friday next week during Good Friday.

Byam did it again! We achieved our All School Reward based on the number of ROARS students and classes received! For this next All School Reward, each classroom will be selecting a mystery box item to stump Mr. Fredette and Mrs. Dolan. On Thursday, each grade level will have an assembly where each item will be felt in the mystery box to see if we can guess the item. We've asked that nothing alive is in the box :)

Our MCAS testing for 3rd and 4th grade students is just over a week away. Below is the upcoming testing schedule:

Grade 4 Testing ELA: Mon. 4/10, Tues. 4/11

Grade 3 Testing: Wed. 4/12, Thurs. 4/13

March is ending and we'll tallying up our marbles for each grade level in the dining room. The grade level with the most marbles will be announced next week and will select their reward from our menu of incentives. Stay tuned...

Students in grades 3-12 in the Chelmsford Public Schools will be retaking a Social and Emotional Learning survey that they participated in earlier this year. Byam's 3rd and 4th graders will be administered this survey on Tuesday. Please see the below letter from our Coordinator of Guidance and Social Emotional Learning, Shannon Bischoff. I your child was opted out in the fall, you do not need to resend in the opt-out form.

The Spring Scholastic Book Fair is just around the corner! Attend the fair in person, or online!

The Book Fair will kick-off April 27th, the same day as the Byam Art Show, and continue into the weekend, both after school on Friday April 28th, and on Saturday afternoon, April 29th! Scholastic is providing lots of new inventory this fair, including the newest Dog Man book and a new Bluey book!

Welcome to fundraising with WECO! Who's hungry?! BSA is partnering with WECO, and 10% of all purchases are going back to Byam! Items do sell out, so get your orders in! Food is delivered directly to your door, with very little prep!

Mark your calendars for May 20, 2023!

Please find attached WALK A THON 2023 FLYER for the upcoming event and get started on raising money for your child's laps. Prizes will be given to those who raise the most! Register AND submit $20 Payment by April 14th to insure your child's t-shirt. Rain or Shine the walk-a-thon is the BSA's highest grossing fundraiser, going directly towards enrichment to the student's curriculum. Is your child not a walker? No big deal! We have plenty of other things to do at the event including a dance party!!

We’re looking for corporate sponsors for the Walk-a-Thon in May! If you have a kid at Byam and think your company might be willing to sponsor the event, please reach out to bsa.chelmsford@gmail.com and we can pass along more info! There are several different sponsorship levels available. Thanks so much!

We are humbly asking parents to consider volunteering for one small task each year. If your child is attending an event, please keep an eye out for future sign-up forms. Many responsible students can also help with parent supervision! In addition to event volunteers, here are a few larger roles we are looking to fill. We will teach you the ropes and "ease" you in.
