    Counselor's Corner

    January came and went but we took full advantage of the excitement the new year brings! Classroom lessons focused on resolutions. We started with conflict resolution and identified different ways to resolve conflict and steps that we need to take in order for conflict to be resolved. We also wrapped the month up with New Year’s Resolutions by looking back at 2022 and setting goals for 2023. Grades 4-6 identified S.M.A.R.T. goals for the upcoming year. Ask your student what S.M.A.R.T. stand for!! February will be a month where we focus on growth mindset and perspective taking.

    Meet Ms. Rode!

    • My name is Ashton Rode.

    • I graduated from Valley City State University and North Dakota State University.

    • This is the start of my 12th year of teaching at Minnewaukan.

    • I am the 6th grade homeroom teacher.

    • I also teach 4th-5th-6th grade math but my favorite subject is History.

    • My hobbies include: gardening, traveling to new places, spending time with family, swimming & watching movies.

    • My dream job is to be a zoologist.

    They will be recognized on the school website and FB page as well as receive a small reward for their accomplishment.
