TASPA Mission, Vision and Collective Responsibilities
Our Mission: To utilize arts integration to develop creative and critical thinkers equipped with the ability to reach full potential in a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment.

COVID Safety Procedures When In the Building
- All TCS employees are required to wear face coverings at all times (unless you are in your own office or classroom, alone, with doors closed). You are welcome to bring your own masks. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
- Staff may not congregate in community spaces (i.e., the break room, copy areas, front office areas).
- All meetings must have social distance rules in place. All faculty meetings will be virtual. Collaborative team meetings, RtI meetings, SPE meetings (groups 10 or less) may be held in person if social distancing measures are in place.
PPE
When you return on August 12, we will have face masks and gloves (different size options) available upon request. Classrooms are equipped with the following supplies:
- 1 personal face shield (additional face shields are placed in rooms with instructional aides)
- 1-2 bottles of cleaning disinfectant
- 1-2 bottles of sanitizer
- 1-pop up wipes
- 1-sprayer
School cleaning and disinfecting will be a team effort. During virtual learning, our custodians will take on the cleaning and disinfecting as required. This will include high touch points such as entry door entry/exit points, elevators, and hand rails.
Employee Screening
Now more than ever, it is essential for all of us screen ourselves before coming to work. All employees must screen for the following:
Fever or Chills
Cough
Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New Loss of Taste or Smell
Sore Throat
Congestion or Runny Nose
Nausea or Vomiting
Diarrhea
Don't Forget to Sign In Every Day
What's Happening This Week:
Beginning of Year PD:
- TASPA Professional Development Schedule August 12-19, 2020 ***Please note that this is not a comprehensive list. There are other district professional development sessions for various departments reflected on the district-wide PD calendar.
- District PD: August 13-17
Virtual Learning Hours and Child Care Needs:
- At this time the expectation is for all faculty and staff to work from the school during regular contract time, Monday-Friday.
- If you have a school-age child(ren), you may bring your child with you into your classroom as long as the child is under your direct supervision at all times. You many not have any other children in your classroom, only your own. If you have young children, please contact me (if you have not done so already) to discuss further.
- When in the classroom with you, your child does not need to wear a mask, but please make sure your child wears a mask when out in the hallway (e.g. going to the restroom).

- All courses (class rolls and schedules) will be added to Schoology Tuesday morning.

A shout out goes to all of our faculty and staff who have worked tirelessly this summer planning for the upcoming school year. From preparing and serving meals all summer, disinfecting the building, facilitating summer learning, attending countless professional development sessions and conferences, to checking in with students and creating new schedules and class rolls, the list goes on and on...Everyone has been working extremely hard to support our families and preparing to make this year the best year yet!
