Jerry Fong named assistant principal for Mountain View Middle School
The Bremerton School District is pleased to introduce Mr. Jerry Fong, our new assistant principal for Mountain View Middle School beginning this fall. Jerry replaces Mr. Jim Capecchi who has accepted a position as assistant principal at the Washington Youth ChalleNGe Academy.
Jerry has spent 17 years in the Franklin Pierce School District where he taught CTE business and computer science and served as the dean of students at both the high school and middle school level. He’s also coached football at both Washington and Franklin Pierce High Schools.
Jerry’s core values center around equity for every student, their families, and staff members. He believes everyone who walks through the doors of Mountain View Middle School should feel welcomed, safe, and part of our school community.
Jerry earned a bachelor of arts in geography from the University of Washington. He has a master’s degree in teaching from City University, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. He earned his CTE certification from Bates Technical College, and his administration credentials from Eastern Washington University.
Jerry lives in Port Orchard with his wife, three kids, and two dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys spending as much family time as possible, even if it just means a family trip to Costco. He’s a huge football fan - especially the UW Huskies and Seahawks. He’s also working on his golf game.
Welcome, Jerry!
