There is only 1 more week of school before our Christmas Break.

Keep in mind that there will be No School on Friday, December 22nd, that will be the beginning of our break.

Just a Reminder that Seal a Smile Permission forms are due by Thursday, December 21st if you would like your child to participate!

Seal a Smile is a wonderful opportunity which comes to you free of charge! Preferred Dentistry Associates of Wisconsin travel to Waller to perform a dental screening, cleaning application and the placement of sealants on all permanent molars!

The Seal a Smile event will take place on February 5th and 6th.

Just in case you are trying to rack your brain to come up with a gift for your child's teacher - The Waller PTO has put together a wishlist for parents and others to use throughout the year!

If your child is missing any clothing items, we sure have accumulated A Lot in our Lost & Found area. Please have them check it out, or parents - feel free to stop at school to take a peek yourself.

If you are looking for something fun to do over Break ~ Waller Students have received a Winter Break Family Fun Pass from Traxside Skating. Take the card with you to Traxside Skating to receive good deals and freebies!! Please see the back of the card for Open Skate times.

Waller Elementary is committed to helping children and families in whatever way we can. Through the generosity of others, we have a small collection of new and gently used children’s winter jackets, snow pants, gloves, hats, boots, sweatshirts, and tennis shoes. If you are facing financial difficulties and need assistance in acquiring these items for your student(s)s, you can use this google form to request needed items or reach out to either Melinda Hoffman at (262) 763-0185 or Lori Radtke at (262) 955-8955 and we will see if we can help.

Riverwood Community Church, located at 6919 McHenry Street, Burlington also has a clothing ministry available to ALL families in the community called Solomon's Closet, where they have FREE gently used winter gear AND clothing items (based on availability) for infants through adults. Solomon's Closet is open on Tuesdays from 6-8pm and Fridays from 9-12:30pm.

In addition, from now until March 2024, Love Inc. is running their Winter Warmth Program, where families can receive FREE winter items (based on availability).

Western Racine County Families who are program eligible are also able to sign up for, and learn about, the other supportive programs that Love Inc. offers, such as their food pantry, vouchers for needed items, meal site, Thanksgiving assistance, Christmas support, and community resource referrals. Waller will be having a Winter Concert this year for grades 1 and 2! It will be held on Thursday, January 11th.

A Spring Concert will be held for kids in grades 3, 4 & 5. This concert will be held on Thursday, May 23rd. Because of the large size of classes, there will be 2 presentations that night, half of the kids will perform in the 6:00 show and the other half will perform at 7:00. More details will come home as the dates get closer.
