Our 9th graders are in for an exciting adventure as they embark on a journey to Orenda Springs. This immersive experience offers a unique opportunity for team building and cultivating a profound sense of belonging within our school community. As they explore the natural surroundings and engage in various activities, students will forge lasting bonds with their peers, enhancing their support networks throughout their high school journey.

What makes this trip even more special is the involvement of our dedicated student orientation leaders, who will be there to guide and inspire their younger counterparts. Together, they'll create memories and connections that will undoubtedly shape their high school experience in meaningful ways.

Spirit Week has been an absolute whirlwind of fun, laughter, and school pride! As we bid farewell to this fantastic week, we can't help but reflect on all the spirited moments that filled our halls. From America Day, where students proudly showcased their patriotic colors, to Decades Day, which took us on a nostalgic journey through the years, and finally, Biker/Surfer Day, where creativity knew no bounds, it's safe to say that our students truly embodied the spirit of each theme.

The grand finale of Spirit Week was nothing short of epic. Friday's Pep Rally set the tone with a burst of energy. The day was filled with thrilling activities, from bubble soccer games that had everyone bouncing with excitement to ice cream eating contests that left us all craving more. A relay race tested our students' speed and teamwork, while the grand finale, a tug of war, had the entire school on their feet, cheering on their favorite teams. As we wrapped up the festivities, the sense of unity and Wolfpack pride was palpable, leaving us eagerly anticipating the soccer games scheduled for Saturday, where our spirited students brought the same enthusiasm to the field. What an unforgettable way to celebrate our school spirit and the incredible community we are a part of!

We are thrilled to invite you to our High School Open House, which will take place on Thursday, September 28th. This event provides a wonderful opportunity for you to gain insights into your child's educational journey, meet our dedicated faculty, and explore our school environment. Your presence and engagement in your child's education are invaluable, so please mark your calendars and join us for the evening. We can't wait to welcome you and strengthen our partnership in nurturing the growth and success of our students.

The first check-in of grades is on September 29 which ends our first mid marking period. This is a good opportunity for students to know where they stand in each of their classes. This check-in will also produce our ineligibility list of the year. Students will receive a letter and one will be mailed home if a student is ineligible. All ineligible students need to stay after school for three days, until they are eligible.

The official end of the 1st marking period is October 20th. This gives students about a month to raise grades. The best way to do this is by asking questions and staying after school for help.

Attendance is more than just a daily routine; it's a critical factor that shapes a student's future. Regular school attendance has a profound impact on academic success, future career opportunities, and personal development. Studies consistently show that students who attend school regularly are more likely to perform well academically and graduate on time. In fact, each day of missed school represents a missed opportunity to learn and engage with educational content. Over time, these absences add up and can significantly hinder a student's progress.

Beyond the immediate academic consequences, attendance also plays a crucial role in a student's long-term prospects. Data reveals a strong correlation between school attendance and future career success. Employers often seek individuals with strong work ethics, and the discipline and responsibility cultivated through consistent attendance are highly valued attributes. The senior trip destination has not been determined yet. However, funding for the trip has to start early. The first installment will be $60 and is due Friday, November 17th. This payment is nonrefundable and will secure your child's spot on the trip. The total cost for the trip will be determined by the destination and fundraising activities. Future installments will be adjusted accordingly.
