The Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies at The University of Texas at Dallas invites you to join scholars March 4-6, 2023, as we celebrate the 53rd anniversary of this important conference and continue the legacy established by Franklin H. Littell and Hubert G. Locke more than fifty years ago. This conference offers the opportunity to address the historical significance of the Holocaust through scholarship that is interfaith, international, and interdisciplinary.

Join the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies on April 30th as we honor Burton C. Einspruch, MD with the Edward M. Ackerman Leadership Award.

The Edward M. Ackerman Leadership Award is presented to an outstanding individual or group who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to promoting the education and increased awareness of the Holocaust and related human rights issues. This leadership inspires or empowers others to become involved and engaged in ways that echo the mission of the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies: “Teaching the Past, Changing the Future.”

This annual event will once again feature readings by faculty, staff, students, and community members of poetry, prose, and personal testimony in a variety of languages.

The Ackerman Center is in the process of scheduling additional events, which we will be adding to our Upcoming Events Page as they are finalized.

Join the Ackerman Center for 1969 minutes of giving April 19-20. All funds raised during Comet Giving Days will be used to support our students. Every dollar you give will benefit our students, who carry our mission of “Teaching the Past, Changing the Future” with them as educators, professionals, and leaders in America and around the world.
