It's hard to believe that the Fall Festival is already upon us! Our PTA volunteers have been working incredibly hard to organize this amazing family event.

Fall Festival Volunteer Sign-Up

In addition to all of the fun for the kids at the Fall Festival, our PTA is excited about our upcoming silent auction which will take place at the Fall Festival.

Check out the slideshow below that highlights many of the baskets that will be available to bid on. There will be even more baskets to check out this Friday so be sure to come ready to do some bidding!

AAA LiveScan of Escondido will be on site at the fall festival for parents that want to be fingerprinted in order to volunteer or chaperone field trips. The cost is $80 and LiveScan will only be accepting check or exact cash (no credit cards). They will be located in the MPR so stop on by during the Fall Festival if you'd like to get fingerprinted.

Beginning next week, the weekly parent bulletin will be sent out on Monday evenings instead of Sundays. So when you don't receive the weekly Bernardo email on Sunday evening, don't fret - it will be coming one day later!

We invite all of our Veterans and Active-Duty family and friends to join us at our Veterans Day Assembly that will take place on Thursday, November 9 at 8:10. As part of our celebration to honor our Veterans and active-duty personnel, we will include a slide show of photos submitted by our Bernardo families.

In next week's bulletin, we will send out information about how to submit photos as well as how to sign up to visit classrooms.

Every Spring, the Bernardo PTA has a tradition of running an amazing Fun Run that the kids absolutely love! The past few years, we've contracted with an outside company that has taken a good-sized portion of the profits. This year, we'd like to run the event in-house so that we can retain more of the funds. To do this, we need parent help!

If you would be interested in serving on a committee of parents and staff to plan this event, please email thebernardopta@gmail.com. No experience needed...just a heart to serve.
