This week if you have students who are NOT testing in the large group setting, please send them to the CAFETERIA. We will have activities for them to work on while in the cafeteria. Please call the office when you are finished testing, and we will send your students back to class.

In Mrs. Cooksey's room, students made puppets to set their fairy tales to life on the green screen.

In Ms. Keutzer's room, students created a display to share the main characteristics of fairy tales. In the design thinking process, students had to prototype a problem and solution for their character.

I would like to continue as the program coordinator for this event but NEED volunteers. We will have practice after school twice a week from the week of September 2 to the week of November 11. The race in November 16th.

The more volunteers we have the easier to rotate and prepare for the GOTR curriculum and practices.

I will send out a sign up genius to the parents and teachers. I would appreciate a commitment so that we can sign up knowing we will have enough coaches. Feel free to ask our teacher coaches about their experience - Ms. Tackes, Ms. Hooper and Ms. Snyder. They were great but did say more coaches would have been helpful.

The spring 5k is just around the corner, but we are already underway with planning for the Fall season! We'd like to know...

• Coach Registration Dates: June 12 - August 18
• New Coaches Training: multiple options offered in August; each training is 4 hours in person; several dates and times will be offered on weekday evenings and weekends
• Online Program Registration:
  • July 29 - Aug 28 at noon - General registration; not first come, first served
  • Aug 28 at 5pm - Sept 6 at 5pm - Late registration, open only at sites that still have capacity for girls; no registrations after Friday, Sept 6 at 5pm.
• Practices begin the week of September 2!
• Girls on the Run St. Louis 5k is on November 16, 2019!
