Upcoming Dates

The beginning of the school year is busy! Here is a list of some important upcoming events:

September 16: Fall laundry fundraiser orders AND money are due to the elementary office.

September 15: Pajama Day! Bring 50 cents to wear pajamas to school.

September 20: After school tutoring begins. If your child is chosen for tutoring, you will receive a permission form with more information next week. *We only have a few tutors available this year, so only around 15-20 elementary students will be selected.

October 4: Laundry fundraiser item pickup in the elem cafeteria from 3:30 - 6:00 pm.

FREE Resource Event for Families on 9/14

This annual event attempts to get community providers together to create a one-stop shop for anyone who may be experiencing or be at risk of homelessness. This year’s event will be held in Cedar Hill on September 14th at the Peace Pantry. I’ve attached this year’s flyer to this email. The QR code on the flyer below will take you to our Facebook page where you can learn about the services and over 25 vendors who are registered to be at this year’s event.

Jeffco Express will be providing free transportation from all their lines to a shuttle that will take individuals to and from the event back to their pickup point.

Girl Scout Recruitment Event

Anyone interested in more information about joining Girl Scouts may come for a Girl Scout Sign Up night Sept.13th, starting at 6pm in the elementary cafeteria.

Good News Club

Students will bring home a flyer today with information about Good News Club (GNC). GNC is an after school program conducted by Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church. The program is after school on Tuesdays until 5pm. Students in grades K-5 are eligible to attend. Students must have a signed permission form in order to stay after.

The first class begins next week on Tuesday, September 13th. Parents must come inside the cafeteria to pick up their child at 5pm.
