Spring Break
Project Launch
Academic proficiency is an important district goal for elementary students. Research shows that extended school year learning opportunities positively impact student success.
Project Launch program includes:
Targeted literacy practice daily
Content literacy in science and social studies
Focused math study and exploration
Transportation provided for those who qualify from predetermined bus stops
Breakfast, lunch and snack
Exiting Kindergarten – 4th Grade Students
Available at no cost to families
Date & Times
Monday-Thursday, June 5 - June 29, 2022
8:30-3:30 PM
Attendance all 16 days is critical
Registration Deadline March 31, 2023
Space is limited this year! You will be notified if your child is placed on a waitlist for this program.
CMAS Testing
This April, along with other students across the state and nation, our students will take the CMAS assessments in Language Arts and Math. In addition, 5th grade students will take assessments in the area of Science. We will be giving the assessments beginning April 10th. The testing window runs from April 10th-27th.
We ask that you avoid making appointments or having your student out of school on the days listed below. Please note that if a student misses a testing session he/she will have to make the session up on a different day.
Testing Window Math (3rd, 4th and 5th)
9:45-11:10
April 10th, 11th, and 12th
Testing Window ELA (3rd, 4th and 5th)
9:45-11:35
April 13th, 14th, and 17th
Testing Window Science (5th)
9:45-11:25
April 18th, 19th and 20th
Make-ups will take place on April 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th.
During state testing, technology such as cell phones, Apple watches, etc. will be collected and stored in the office as they are not allowed in testing locations. Please encourage your child to leave these items at home if possible.
Students will be using their iPads to test this year. Please ensure that you student comes to school with a fully charged iPad every day.

This will be the only opportunity to order a yearbook. Extras will not be available in the office. Friday, March 17th, 2023 is the deadline to turn in an order for your 2022-2023 yearbook.

Yearbooks will be distributed on Friday, May 19th.
Innovation Academy
- Innovation Academy will be held Monday, June 5 - Thursday, June 15 from 8:30 - 11:30 at the Innovation Center.
- Innovation Academy is open for registration! If your child is currently in kindergarten, first, or second grade, please access this link or go to innovation.svvsd.org to find out more!
- Have a 3rd-5th grader? No problem! The Innovation Center has programming for older students too! Check us out for more information.
- Once at the Innovation Center website, choose menu / programs / summer programs to find information and to register for IA!

Wednesday, April 4, 2023: Establishing Healthy Digital Habits

- Presented by Natalie Worobel, MA, LPC Owner of Natalie Worobol Counseling

- Description: Natalie Worobel will be presenting on healthy digital practices including proactive steps families can take to live a more balanced life with their digital devices. She will educate parents so they can make intentional decisions around their family's digital habits as well as help them identify fulfilling ways to have their psychological needs met outside of their screens. Additionally, she will guide participants in exploring ways to improve their digital wellness over the summer including utilizing healthy replacement behaviors and activities.
