Dear Parents,

Welcome Back! We are so glad to have your students back with us this year.

I want to introduce our office staff to let you know who to contact if you have questions.

We are here to help you and support you during the school year. We want to make sure that all have a wonderful school experience each day. Please let us know how we can assist you.

Car Rider Drop Off

Please remember that car rider drop-off begins at 7:30 am. Only fifth graders who are patrols may be dropped off before that time. Please do not drop your student off in front of the school until an adult is outside.

If your child is being dropped off in front of the cafeteria, please enter in the middle lane. If your child is being dropped off in front of the K5/5th grade wing, please enter in the curbside lane. Any student eating breakfast should be dropped off in front of the cafeteria to collect breakfast BEFORE heading to the classroom. We will have patrols available to walk students to class from outside and from the cafeteria.

Bus Riders (morning)

Bus riders will be dropped off at 7:20 and will enter the cafeteria. They will be able to eat breakfast and will stay in the cafeteria until the bell rings at 7:30.

Car Riders - Afternoon Pick Up

At 2:20 pm, K4 and K5 students can be picked up in the third lane. Please stay in your car. Someone will bring your student to you. They will even help buckle them in if needed.

At 2:30 pm, we will begin dismissal for all of our students. The third lane is closed at this time.

If you are picking up students in K4, K5, 1st, or 2nd grade or if you have a carpool of different grade students, please be in the middle lane.

If you are picking up students in grades 3-5, please be in the lane closest to the curb.

Please be aware that although the driveway starts with two lanes, once you come around the curb, it goes to three lanes. Please do not block lanes.

There is no smoking allowed on school grounds. Also, because we are loading precious cargo, the car line is a no-phone zone. Please stay alert and help us keep our sweet students safe.

COVID guidelines

If your student tests positive for Covid or has Covid symptoms, you will need to complete this form: Student COVID Reporting

Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast is free for all students each day.

Lunch prices are:

$2.10 Full Pay

$.40 Reduced

$0 Free

Volunteer Training

We will announce Volunteer Training dates soon. Remember you must be Volunteer Trained each year to be able to work in classrooms or attend any field trips.

First Day of School

On the first day of school, we will allow parents to walk their student to the classroom. Please park in a designated space to do this. The school is open for walking in between 7:30 and 8:00. After 8:00, school will begin.

Just a heads up - Fox Carolina will be here that morning to showcase a first day of school at Six Mile Elementary. Exciting times!
