CARES Newsletter
April 1, 2021
Dear Families,
Spring has sprung and the staff and students have been taking full advantage of the nice weather. Our high school students have started getting back out into the community volunteering to clean up the beach, helping out at the Mentor bus garage, and starting CARES safety patrol program. The High School students have also welcomed a few special visitors. Willow, a golden retriever puppy has been visiting to help students get hands on experience on what it entails to own a pet. Piper the miniture horse and two ducklings visited to help our students generalize skills from a unit of study on working on a farm.
The students on the school aged side of CARES have been learning all about flowers, ocean animals and exploring what is blooming on our beautiful grounds as spring takes over. The students in Mrs. Deighan's class have had their scientific goggles on all month and celebrated by presenting their findings with a Science Fair today.
Wishing you all a safe and healthy holiday,
Mrs. LaPaglia
